Michael and I attended the Linkin Park: A Thousand Suns concert at the AA center back in March (I’m a little behind in blogging). This was our third time to see LP in concert and they did not disappoint! We were both excited and thankful this year’s concert was in the spring and indoors as opposed to the last two during the summer and outdoors.
Before the concert, we met up with Jared and Alicia for dinner at Chuy’s. Afterwards, we headed over to their place to get Caitlin set up for the night. A {HUGE} thank you to Jared and Alicia for watching Caitlin so we could attend the concert. Caitlin was on her best behavior…for the first two minutes we were gone. Poor Jared and Alicia had to deal with a few meltdowns but handled it like champs. I felt so bad waking her up to get her in the car at midnight so we could head home. I captured a few pictures with my small point-and-shoot camera. If only I had known I could have taken my good camera instead…
If you’ve never given Linkin Park a try, you really should. Below is the chorus of my new favorite LP song and “anthem” from their latest album. I just learned this song will be featured in the upcoming Transformers 3 movie.
Iridescent (chorus lyrics)
Do you feel cold and lost in desperation?
You build up hope, but failures all you’ve known.
Remember all the sadness and frustration
And let it go.
Let it go.
